The rod tube has a durable plastic inner tube, covered in Cordura mesh material, with a zip top fastening. There is a sponge buffer inside the zip top lid to help protect the ends of your dismantled rod inside the tube.  All measurements are measured to the zip, not to the overall length.  There is then approximately 1 1/2 inches - 2 inches for the lid.  These are the sizes we currently have in stock:-

Trout Cordura rod tubes 2 inches in diameter x 50 inches in length to the zip.  Alternatively, black plastic tubes can be made to measure any length and are 3 inches in diameter.
